Tastes like somebody set a glass of blood on fire. It's ok tho.

I didn't taste any hint of ancho chile, but it was a good beer regardless. Tasted like what you'd expect any Ommegang beer to taste like.

Smooth with a hint of a kick from the chilies. I got a strong nutty after taste but as the glass emptied, the fire became more apparent. Solid but not great.

Nice smooth red beer. Easy to drink, a little too citrusy for me.

Very bitter, all the way to the end.

Deep, dark red hue with a persistent, creamy, off-white head. Aromas of ripe fruit, raisins, malt & slight spice, followed by a slightly floral and spicy hop character. A fruity, sweetish malt taste gives way to faint drying provided by the hops & rye. Spicy, different & tasty!
