Like a bourbon barrel but with only a hint. Big but smooth.

Just ok. Heavy licorice and molasses. It is definitely a winter warmer.

Ok, but needs more taste and body.

Chestnut brown in color with a slight white head that quickly disappears. Aromas of figs and raisins, with molasses too. Very strong anise licorice forward with a heavy burnt molasses flavor. Bitter at the finish. We thought this one was just ok unless you really like a licorice flavor. Seemed harsh.

Toasty malts with caramel and subtle fruit flavors make this brown ale a creamy treat.

Decent American brown ale. Overall more hoppy and bitter than I prefer in an American brown.
