09FEB14, Stone - Liberty Station, San Diego, CA
Draft, 4oz snifter
Pours black with tan head. Smells of strong espresso. Is really good withe the brownie sundae. It's a little sharp on the espresso which makes it a little too much for me. Need to pair it with something to cut it.

Malty, with strong espresso coffee flavor. Delightful bitter after taste, but not too hoppy. Almost syrupy, but not sweet. Excellent!

Pours jet black from the tap with a one finger mocha head that recedes to nothing after a minute. Some lacing, but less than I expected. Huge, balanced aroma if dark malts and espresso coffee. Taste: smooth, dark coffee, a little hint of roasted marshmallow. Roasty finish. Thinner mouthfeel than I would've expected. Overall: a very good beer, but not the very best coffee beer I've had.

Nice dark stout with tan head. Definite coffee aroma. Nice strong espresso flavor. Smooth drinker. Definitely detect the alcohol content in the finish but not overpowering.

This was really good, smooth and slippery, strong coffee flavor, not quite as good as original but good. On tap at Ave Pub, 2013.

I'm I big fan of stone beers, but this one tastes like coffee liquor with bubbles. Too sweet and nasty for me. Ngoc also dislikes.
