30AUG13, Flanagan's, Louisville, KY
Draft, conical pint
Pours a clear golden color. Has a piney, very floral aroma. Very sweet, very smooth, very delicious. Very very delicious.

Potent, resinous nose. Pine resin and sap flavor. Round body, smooth feel. Not really a fan of the pineyness.

3rd batch of a Super limited one time release that made it to nj (??!th batch overall) - brewed on 8/9 and drinking 8/27 New idea by stone to drink a super fresh super hopped ipa within 35 days of brewing. Had my first one 18 days after bottle.
Beautiful amber beer with a frothy aromatic head. Lots of piney and citrusy grapefruit aromas. Also dank resin earthy smell. Similar to 9.21.12 & 5.17.13
Surprisingly light smooth mouthfeel for an imp ipa very refreshing hoppy taste with more citrusy notes. A piney finish as well. like 5.17.13, Another great beer by stone curious to try again in a couple weeks to see if there is a difference. Very drinkable and smooth for a nearly 10% ipa, and seems to be evenly hop forward to the 2nd batch, but had a thicker more
Viscous mouthfeel and more resiny finish. Wonder how much it will mellow out near end.
Had on draft at cork city 9/11/13 - I swear its even better on tap than in the bottle. All the aromas and flavors are amplified.
2nd bottle on 9/13 - on the 'expiration date' and our 5 month anniversary still a super fresh ipa. a little more mellow but Lots of bite out of the bottle citrus piney and resin aroma. Very full bodied hop forward ipa with a citrusy grapefruit finish. It will be missed.

Nice balance of pines, hops, and citrus. Comparable to cedar plank from Green Flash.

Foamy ivory head. Intense grapefruit
/citrusy aromas followed by big floral/hoppy nose. Citrusy/hoppy palate with little to none of the piney resinny stuff going on. Medium to full bodied with ample carbonation. Good one to sip and enjoy.

It's a damn good IPA. Nabbed a bottle from a local liquor store before it was found on tap right down the street. Good use of Amarillo hops, citrusy, piney, and good all the way through. Bottle is still waiting for a future beer date.
