O-817 - January 20, 2014Not what I had in mind, very bitter instantly, wouldn't buy again. Have had lots of great beers by clown shoes that I like, this isn't one.
bugs318 - March 9, 2013Lightly malty caramel aroma but dominated on the nose more by grass, rind, and some citrus. Taste has faint toast and bread notes, but is again - and moreso - dominated by hops from start to finish with grassy citrus most evident. Good but not for your faint amber drinker.
BBrewster - September 23, 2012Rather good. I'd put it in the ipa category but I guess it's considered an American strong ale. I would assume they use quite a few bittering hops with grapefruit notes such as cascade based on aroma and flavor. Would drink it again but not nearly as well balanced as some of my other favs.
pogo177 - September 17, 2012Dark amber with nice clarity. Light tan head. Malt, caramel and citrusy hops. Bitterness starts but is then balanced out with flavors of brown sugar. Finishes smoothly and slightly sweet. Very nice.
