FabAru - December 28, 2018Pretty straightforward imperial IPA. I really couldn?t find the bourbon barrel, though some on the nose. Not super hoppy. Drinking it by itself, Doom is 3 1/2 stars. I thought it really shined with food, upping its rating. Not boozy; just another imp IPA. Wondering how overpriced this is, given the (weak) bourbon barrel part. (It was part of a greedy grab-bag prize, so I don?t know.)
adrian.quintana@ymail.com - July 3, 2018Tasty. Contrary to other comments, I don?t think it?s too boozy. Many other brews with this high of an ABV are much boozier. Good job Founders.
Debonairbear1 - September 7, 2017It was malty, and I picked up a faint bourbon flavor at the end. Not sure storing in bourbon barrels really brought anything to the table.
LP1 - August 6, 2017Strong 12.4%. A bit too much. Boozy. I love IPAs and bourbon. Tough to mix the two. Still quite nice.
