nice beige head with strong retention, though negligible lace. Deep dark color between dark brown and black, smells like plums and prunes mixed with fresh baked bread, medium body, crisp but not super-bubbly, bittersweet malt with a decent drying. Both hops and malt are on the high end, hence balanced, a bit sour and a slightly more sour than dry aftertaste which increases over course of beer. It is better on a first sip than throughout.
