Would like to rate this higher, since it is a solid and drinkable beer with good body and flavor. Problem is, it?s not what it says it is. None of that bready, yeasty, malty, tastiness of a traditional Oktoberfest/Marzen. Stick to Ayinger.

I *really* wanted to love this one since Ballast Point is one of the best breweries out there. But idk man, its just okay. Doesnt taste that much like a märzen, but still a very solid beer.

Light marzen. Needs more malt. But it's ok

Really no taste at all. 1 star.

Nice beer. Not much to say nothing special.

Clear caramel in color with one finger of quickly dissipating head. Pungent sweet toffee malty aromas. Light in mouthfeel and body this Oktoberfest is very malty sweet with a heavy caramel and toffee forward followed by a burnt aftertaste. I've had much better oktoberfests this one is too malty sweet. A little disappointing since ballast point makes a lot of great beers. Has a malty sweet bad Homebrew Mr. Beer taste to it.

Just average. Disappointing for Ballast Point, they normally produce a great beer.

It's an ok offering, but I am not a fan of the sweet aftertaste.
