aaf145 - January 31, 2015Solid adult beverage..drinking Batch #8... Nice belgian dark ale, heavy dark fruit presence to start.. BUT a tad too sweet of a finish.. Almost get a sugar rush.. Makes sense because the bottle lists the ingredients and speaks of both belgian candi sugar and turbinado sugar both being used.. As a beer snob and avid homebrewer that's way too much sugar... A touch of belgian candi sugar would have sufficed, as it is potent enough in Small doses..enjoyed pounding the bottle but lay off the sugar, had to bump it down a star rating cuz of the excessive sweetness......3.5 stars
