Smooth and surprisingly tasty for a beer with such high alcohol content. This is a slow drinker and one or two at most per sitting.

Great slow drinking beer, whiskey barrel aged. Love this beer, but enjoy in moderation.. A slow drinker for sure enjoy with a fat steak grilled at home.

Reminds me of a not so thick Guinness stout

Deliciously dark and flavourful beer that've old pair well with foods. Has hints of molasses and is a whopping 9.6%. Very good!! 4.5 stars

14OCT12, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Draft, pint Aroma is dark and malty, with some raisin and fig bleeding through and a hint if smoke. Flavor is mostly sweet, dark fruits with some maltiness rounding out the flavor. Almost bready on the malt/yeast combo. Color is black. Barrel aged. Medium-to-thick on the mouthfeel and a sweet, lingering finish.
