Chocolate, malty, creamy.
Maltesers candy, chocolate ice cream.
Sweet but not too sweet.

Ridiculously sweet. I don't know how they even made it this sweet. Dopplebocks are supposed to be on the sweeter side but this is outrageous and completely unbalanced. It does fit the mold of Canadian dark beers by being syrupy and nasty.

Nicely sweet with toffee and hazelnut tones. Pleasantly bitter chaser.

Had only moderate hopes for this beer and, well, I'm still underwhelmed. What struck me first was the pronounced metallic aftertaste. Yuk. The colour, carbonation, and aroma are good, as well as the dark malty flavours, but the aftertaste ruined it.
Revisiting this beer my opinion hasn't changed. Metallic aftertaste. Yuk.

Very sweet, malty. Alcohol, Carmel bit roasted. Very nice doppelbock

Nice malty taste. Toffee/maple notes at front with nutty notes in middle and fig/plum at the back. Warming alcohol sensation, but not overly strong. Overall, a nicely balanced beer.
