Very foamy thick long lived tan head murky golden in color. Not my choice but it's smooth has more malt notes and rye than any hops I'd say hopes are almost nonexistent

Not really sure how Devil's Canyon can call this California Sunshine. This is about as far from modern California IPAs as you can get. Malt city. So much so that the hop profile is completely drowned. Literally can not sense a single hop note in the nose. As I'm writing this, I discover that it's a Rye IPA. Why isn't it labeled as such? No wonder it tasted so heavily of rye and bread and malt.
My review stands that the hops are almost non-existent. Some decent bitterness on the palate but none anywhere else.

Great IPA / dark amber, almost glowing. Fantastic malt and hop flavor, very complex, bordering a DIPA. Look for this one!

It took me 2 years to finally find this again. I still enjoy it, but now it tastes a bit too sweet. Reminds me of a light version of He'Brew RIPA.

I am a malt-forward no-bitter fan at heart (see: Full Boar Scotch Ale), but for what they were trying for I would say it is 4 out of 5. For what I prefer in my rating system in the app, it is 3.5. The bitter aftertaste lingers for a good minute and a half like Green Flash Green Bullet. There is definitely a malty sweetness and spicy rye character that helps balance the bitterness, and the hop strength is mainly aroma and aftertaste for me, not in the main taste. As it warms the sweetness is more apparent, so enjoy it super cold if you do not enjoy sweetness, or at 62 degrees if you want that malt to step up. Solid brewery.

Little too much carbonation and slightly metallic. Not bad though

Way too sweet. Not the beer for me.

Really enjoy this! Nice malty backbone built on a little spicy rye and some rich biscuityness. Wish the hops were a little more bitter but a very enjoyable brew

Bitter beginning, dry, just like the label describes; grassy. Would like to try again. Interesting take to the IPA

Decent nose. Kind of sweet. Bitterness and caramel forward at tasting with a slight syrupy smooth texture. Overall pretty good. Worth trying.
