FabAru - August 25, 2019Great coffee stout. Only four stars, Brew Gene stingies?! Velvety body, w/o a lot of carbonation. Malty. Bitter chocolate. Brown sugar. Yes, it is sweet. Touch of vanilla. Robust coffee presence but with a very strong stout backbone. W/o the coffee the beer would probably still be strong and rich. Just too good. One of the best stouts. Compares to CBS & KBS but without the barrel aging. Before Cafe Americano I was really not a fan of coffee stout. Got at Woodmans.
