Robust is a good descriptor. Appearance: dense and dark. No transparency. Leaves little lacing. Aroma: woody, but not overly strong. Taste: not terribly strong but has a sweet finish which is a bit unusual for a porter (disclosure: I got no description of the type of porter it is supposed to be). Summary: I've had much better porters but it is not terrible, particularly if you are okay with a sweeter finish.

Like others have said, it is very dark for an amber, and it tastes more like a stout. That being said it is very drinkable and enjoyable in addition to being unusual.

Maybe the darkest, most complex Pale Ale on the planet. There is nothing Pale or Red about it.

Closer to a Brown ale. Pleasant nutty aroma but lacks chocolate notes. Well made but not quite a porter.
