Not sure what to think. I loves me some Belgian brew, but this is pretty sweet. The 12% ABV is nearly undetectable. Seems like a well crafted drink. Maybe I'm just not in the mood tonight... like your mom every night. What's her deal anyway? I mean, I made Hamburger Helper and cleaned the toilets, what else do I need to do to get a dang foot rub???

I found this gem at Pearson's Wine and Beer Merchants in Boone, NC while visiting. Reddish amber in color with a very short-lived off-white head. The head dissipated quickly and left a very thin rim of lace along the edge of the tulip into which it was poured. Hazy with moderate sediment.
Spicy nose with cherries and dark fruits emerging along the way. Flavors included sherry, cinnamon, cherries and a very well-hidden 12% ABV that only makes itself evident toward the end of the serving. Absolutely wonderful Christmas ale that was worth finding. Glad I had the opportunity to enjoy this special ale.

Pours without any head at all. Burnt orange/brown color. Smells like a very sweet raisin/ fruit cake. It's a sweet, and incredibly drinkable 12% beer. It's a desert in a class!

Spicy, not too Belgian-y
