Nice reddish light brown in color, with a decent, creamy VERY-slightly off-white head. Nose is caramelly, lightly vinous and lightly spicy, with a trace nuttiness. Taste is likewise malt forward, with some caramel and bread ahead of a slight tea and vinous drying finish, but still unbalanced on the sweet side and probably not dry enough. Hint of treacle sugars and just a touch of cloves. Feel is mostly creamy and decently fuller side of medium. Good winter warmer, but not my top old.
