To put it simply, Fantastic. Powerful flavors going on here. Taste and aroma is bourbon first and foremost. Then the smooth chocolate, vanilla and dark fruit takes over. Then finally you know it is a Scotch Ale. The mouthfeel is one of the slickest/ smoothest I can remember. If you don?t like a strong bourbon barrel aged taste you will not like this. But if you do, find this as soon as you can. And let it get to just below room temperature. On a side note. I couldn't find what the ABV percentage is? But how I felt after one bottle I am thinking around 9 or 10 % ABV. No big deal just odd.

Super delicious! If you are a fan of scotch ales you have to try it! It reminds me of McEwans Scotch Ale.

So much caramel! Pours like milk with a deep caramel color and no head. Smells of caramel with hints of coffee, chocolate, bourbon, oak and vanilla. Tastes of caramel and lightly of bourbon and vanilla with a fairly strong oak finish. It doesn't feel as thick as it looked on the pour, has very little carbonation and you feel the alcohol presence. I really enjoyed it. Great beer!

Bready chocolate nose. Chocolate and malty, which is different for a scotch ale

Not as balanced as I expected... bourbon flavor overpowered the other complexities of flavoring. Very boozy. Good, if you are expecting a bourbon kick.
