Like drinking whiskey with a hint of beer

Tasting of the '08-12 bottles. None really my thing, but the '08 aged well- mellow bourbon, almost syrupy, good flavor. The '10 was nice, also. More recents were thinner, with stronger bourbon, & too much of the "burnt" character I don't care for in stouts.

Smooth, excellent stout

Complex stout. Bourbon, coffee , raisin. Smells like a glass of straight bourbon but the taste is incredible. Best imperial stout. Period.

Good beer, but at almost 15%abv, it is not for the faint of heart. This is a one and done for me when I have it.

Absolutely the best beer I have ever had. I had it at Gramercy Tavern in New York.
The taste is rich with coffee, chocolate and a hint of bourbon. Dark as can be and even the head is dark.

2 yr old - The booze blended in well, not too strong in the nose. Faint vanilla and oak and plenty of booze on the nose still.
Very complex taste, roasted malts, bourbon, sweet caramel.
