7/9/16 Big damn beer. First tastes still had hops. Slowly mellowed to nice barley wine flavor. Super boozy and very impressive.

Beer #600

Citrus aroma, red/orange on color, smooth for 15%, unique lingering flavor on palate, hard to describe "burnt" sugars but great finish, would love to have more but expensive

Delicious, thick, heavy, wonderful knock-you-on-your-arse kind of beer. A favorite.

BIG BEER! A lot going on here.

Good burnt sugars and honey flavors. Appropriate weight in mouth with just the right subtle carbonation to keep it from feeling syrupy. 5 Stars as draft pour, but 3 stars for charging $20 for a 22oz bottle that you'd only want 12oz of at 15%ABV. About halfway through all that alcohol started piling up in my gut. Tried to cork and store but it wasn't the same next day.

Very smooth for 15%. Sweetness, warmth and full body. Satisfying.

One of the best barleywine's out there, so smooth for 15%, cant wait to have one aged after a year or two, incredible!

Nice orange/brown color. Medium sized tan head. Citrusy aromas hit first followed by a heavy malty sweetness. Thick and slick in the mouth. Citrus followed by some hop bitterness. Malt sticks throughout. Mild alcohol warmth. Wish I had more to cellar.
