C+. An ok imperial stout with some smoke flavors, also a bit acrid.

13SEP14, Against the Grain, Louisville, KY Draft, snifter Pours black with coffee colored head that quickly dissipates to a ring. Has strong caramel notes with a hint of bourbon at the end. Good chocolate and vanilla and sweet notes. Very very good. Sweeter than I expected. Aroma is mostly molasses with bourbon. Flavor is all of the above. It's really silky, which matches really really well with the bourbony molasses. Really tasty. Better as it warms and the sweetness really comes out and finishes great. Not bitter, not terribly boozy, sweet with the right amount of boozy twinge. Ashlee said it was good, but she didn't think she could drink a whole glass of it. She did agree that it was better as it warmed, but it probably didn't have enough coffee for her liking.
