Great flavor, very rich. Roasty without being too sweet, slightly bitter.

Pitch black in color with a small light brown head. Malty, slight hops, a little prune, a little chocolate, raisin on the nose. Not much on the forefront that stands out. Dark fruits, bitter chocolate, malts come out in the middle and finish with the bitterness of a dark chocolate. Very smooth. Lots of flavor. Medium mouthfeel. I highly recommend this beer.
The bonus is if you have time to cellar it you should. My bottle said for freshest taste enjoy by 8/19/08. I had it on 1/24/12. Better than I remember.

A Russian Imperial Stout with a hearty malt body and bold hop flavor. Named after the infamous "Blackout of 2003" that left the northeastern United States in complete darkness, but resulted in old-fashioned neighborhood porch parties and fun.

Delicious winter brew. This beer opened the door to Russian Imperial stouts. Oh no, could be dangerous! 11/11
