Mahogany and opaque with yeast sediment in the body when poured into tulip glass. It has a persistent thick khaki creamy head that lingers forever and leaves moderate lace. Dark fruits, figs, caramel, bread, and sweet malt aromas all strike the nose with equal intensity. Flavors are a wonderful blend of the aromas along with a yeasty presence and slight booziness that intensifies as it warms. Medium body with excellent carbonation. Most enjoyable dark ale that is worth having again. Ahoy!

Got a 6 mixed pack for Christmas and I'm trying the dark ale tonight. The nose is sweet malt, coffee, and toffee. The mouthfeel is light. Not very mouth coating. The coffee notes come out on the palate with a little bit of maple syrup. The finish is very short for me with a little sweetness of malt and toffee before it fades to nothing. An okay beer but not something I would reach for as my go to beer
