Heavy. Really thick. A little too heavy. There is a bitterness in the after that I don't necessarily find appealing.

Jet black in color with a thin khaki head and strong molasses and boozy bourbon aromas kind of like dipping your head in a still. I don't know leinys for making high abv and I'm not surprised why. This is a very unbalanced super boozy beer. Flavors of anise molasses and bourbon very heavy boozy beer. It will get you lit but in a way that you won't respect yourself in the morning. There are many other beers in this style that are superior. Has a tobacco and tar like finish.

A good imperial

Big on the tongue flavor with a smooth coffee aftertaste. Hops are a lil overpowering at first. As it warms up you get a sweet berry flavor

Anise finish

Super bold, perhaps over-the-top flavor. Very strong. Noticeable, strong alcohol. Good, bordering very good, but not great. Not for the weak of heart.

Love the complexity of flavor.

Rich, lots of depth. Complex. You need all your senses to appreciate this one, so sip on its own.

Very big flavor. Strong Dark Chocolate Flavor at the start. Finished off with a nice coffee flavor. You pick up hints if raisin and malts on the nose.

Not sure if I could drink a whole six. Strong coffee and decent hops. Definitely a sipping beer. Really smooth if you just gulp it. Otherwise A LOT of flavor. All in all good beer.
