Looks like root beer. Smells like root beer with a slight whiff of alcohol/hops. Tastes about like it smells. Sweet root beer with a slight tang of bitterness from the hops. This is the beer equivalent of a fruity cocktail. Way too easy to pound down, so you'd get drunk before you know it. As far as taste goes, it's not bad, just don't expect any complexities or character. It is as stated - alcoholic root beer.

Not as good as Coney Island or not your fathers root beer. Not as sweet.

This stuff is Awesome! Unlike it's predecessors, this one u can actually "taste the beer" which makes it different than the others. It really tastes just like one of those root beer barrel hard candies, which I luv. I like this brew but I think Coney Island's is the best. I drank this on New Yrs day, but in the summer heat this one'll be a heck of a lot more enjoyable and refreshing. 4-1/2 Stars. for now. (Popped a top)

Where "Not Your Father's" and Coney Island Root Beers failed, this succeeded. The chemical notes in the others don't appear here. It's a good root beer but not something I want all the time. If I want to taste root beer I'll grab a soda.
