Tasty (maybe because no Belgian detected). Coffee, chocolate, strong, yum.
Draft, World of Beer, Oct 2016.

Imperial stout with hints of Belgian candy. Some coffee & chocolate notes but lighter than most ISs. Alcohol not as pronounced as you might expect. Had at PP 4/5/14.

Opaque black/brown with beautiful tan head. Figs, toffee, roasted malt, f'ing amazing nose. Soft, round, lightly carbonated palate that echoes the nose. I really like and will have again.

Bottle from 06.17.11. Almost no head at all. Getting a funky nose. Definitely a different taste! Getting a little spice. I'd like to revisit a fresh bottle.

Pours pitch black no highlights with a thin creamy mocha head.
Vanilla and peaty aroma
Chocolate and dark fruit, extremely and unexpectedly smooth. Little to no alcohol warming which is off putting considering the ABV of this beer.
Full bodied with almost no carbonation. Grainy in texture with a bitter dry finish.

Great malty backbone. Strong American ale with ample hops to go around. Paired with yeasty Belgian notes.
