Jrriley - March 3, 2013Strong smoky nose followed by strong smoky taste right up front, a little charcoal taste. Hard to discern any other taste except bitter smoke. Too overwhelming, no subtlety; another brewer who goes overboard. Even the name: Black Ale Smoked Porter - if it's a porter, don't throw "ale" in there. Not recommended.

Sam Daley - November 13, 2012Blackest beer I've ever seen. Thin tawny head. Woody wintergreen aroma. Full bodied with a flavor of roasted barley and chocolate malt. Well balanced finish. Impressive.
