jjfregistration - September 21, 2016Pours real black, not much head. Small shore of tan bubbles hangs around the glass edge. Smells a bit like sweet horsehair, really. Nice feel in the mouth - some sharpness from the bubbles and then that real subtle stout carbonation. First taste is a sharp cocoa without much sweetness. Settles into a pervasive sharp bitterness. Well balanced, though not super enjoyable.
Cellar Dweller - July 31, 2016Pours dark with no head. Very much a cat urine smell trying to be masked by cocoa. Tastes of bitter chocolate with a lightly sour finish. Nice almost chalky feel. I really dig Mikkeller beers but this one is a bit of a miss for me.
