FabAru - December 23, 2018First, the 2018 vintage, which I had, is 10.5% abv. A solid, if not profound, barrel aged stout, which stays consistent with its base materials, the basic Neapolitan milk stout, which is good but not outstanding. Soft and not in your face. Not much bourbon but enough to make an impact. Low carbonation. Dark chocolate and sweet. Medium body. This would be the perfect starter beer for someone who has never tried a barrel aged beer or who is afraid of stouts. Steve brought this from Michigan over Xmas.
