Ralt - December 2, 2019Belgian Ale is a little less robust than I like. For my taste the bourbon is too intense.
FabAru - June 23, 2019Superbly barrel aged in that that?s the predominant flavor without it going overboard. The barrel aging is nicely subdued, though this is not one of those ?Is it?? or ?Is it not?? barrel aged beers. Much less fuzzy than your typical Ommegang beer. The only criticism is that the string ale behind the barrel aging is not the most robust, and I do not think it would make too great of a beer alone. Still, there is a place for a weak strong ale, no? And too often actual strong ales become overpowering after eight or so ounces. Not this one.
