The overall taste is like caramel, which I love. Great dessert beer, hard for me to pair with many foods because of its sweetness and general candy-like character.

I generally like porters but some of them are like drinking sugar...this one has always had the perfect balance for me. The vanilla gives it more complex flavor than just sweetness, and java gives it just a hint of bitterness. Love the way it smells too.
