FabAru - February 2, 2020This is a tripel? Had to relook at the label. Full bodied. Rich. Not yeasty, fizzy, nor light. Kinda hoppy. Color: a dark, opaque, orangish brown. I think a little barleywine snuck into the Leftcoast tripel vats in the middle of the night. But taken on its merits, its definitely not bad; but some untruth in advertising leads to a let-down of expectations. What style of beer is this really? Welp, light barleywine? Belgian or American strong ale? Oak cask aged Skotch ale? Maybe its non-binary and refuses labels? Refer to it as they please.
