This is my first foray into a Barleywine. It is stout (8.2% on the label). The pour has a frothy head that sticks around awhile. It is a dark brown color. It is a rich, filling beer and one that you are not likely to drink without food adjacent. It most certainly has a fruitiness during the back half of a drink.
