Sampled at Vancouver Brewfest March 2015. Some hops, very powerful coffee. Above average beer. Good, but more like a stout rather than an IPA.

I enjoyed this, however nothing about this tasted like an ipa, it tasted very much like a stout... I love the stone self Righteous when it comes to black ipa's

This is a good dark IPA and nice and hoppy. I'd say go for it and enjoy the bitters and hops.

Pretty tasty, my first black ipa

Great hoppy taste, not super bitter. Good Black IPA from a major brewer.

Hoppy, but not too hoppy, full and dark

Nice crisp start with a pleasant aroma and very little head. The finish has a nice bitterness but overall a bit bland for this type of ale. Still, its very drinkable

Good for a hop head and dark

Crisp and clean but with a mild bite, this IPA hints of something German. Yes, you can almost feel something Alt in this Black IPA. Alaskan has done well with this IPA. Not as pleasant as Hops of Wrath from Dust Bowl or as tasty as Dow's home brew Galaxy Pale Ale but it's not bad and I will buy it again.
