Thick, ivory, head that lingers. Clear, dark, chestnut brown. Intensely floral aromas buttressed with malt - maybe a little must?. Medium bodied with abundant carbonation. Layers of plums and malt on the palate.
PFG.

Dark. Good. Coffee caramel flavour.

Ignore the tacky label, this Bruin beer is good! It's smooth and not hoppy. Not carbonated but has a lot of delicious sediment.

Beer exploded out of bottle when opening. The beer i saved was overloaded with yeast. Lumpy beer is not good

Great tasting grand cru!!! Top of the line dark ale

Decent white audible head of slight retention and negligible lace topping a dark brown body. Aromas of candied brown sugar, caramel, anise, and chocolate. Taste is sweet up front (and throughout if mostly up front) and dominated by bready malts, some brown sugar and caramel and some anise. The mouth is fairly full bodied with only a moderate carbonation for the style alongside a sugary-sweet, caramelly stickiness. A touch sweet, but nonetheless a grand drink!

I'm giving this the lowest rating of any of the Belgian brown ales I've tried. Really nice nose but the ale was lumpy from the first pour. Yeast on steroids or a bad bottle? No matter, I have no taste for a sevond
