Too much scent of spice

Pours like your normal porter: dark, with a quick dying head.
Sweet, chocolatey nose. Unless you've smelled roasted, dried chili before, you'd never notice it, but it's mildly present.
Tastes disappointingly average, with a smokey, dark mole finish.
I'll buy another bottle, if it's cheap. Trying it on draft night bring out more chile flavor. Not spicy at all.

A rather bland dark ale with just a hint of the chili pepper at the finish.

Pretty decent dark ale but I'm not tasting the chile pepper at all. Light bodied but pretty a good amount of flavor. The sugar added during fermentation gives a little bit of a sugary aroma.

Redo: it must have had dishwasher soap in it the 1st time. I liked it 2nd time around. Luckily I never checked my notes or I wouldn't have ordered it
Original: Tastes like it has dishwasher soap in it

I don't taste that much chili flavor but this is a nice dark beer with some interesting flavors, sort of fizzy though.

Carmel flavor. Good beer

Not digging the chili taste. Appreciate the attempt though.

I appreciate the spice of chile but not my thing

A pepper beer with ancho chillies. Good balance with a pepper flavor that doesnt overwhelm the sweetness. I didnt know it was a pepper beer till i tried it...wish the waitress would have given me a heads up
