Just realized I never rated this. This is one of my go-to brews. Absolutely great - if you have the opportunity to get it on draft, it is a little different and in my opinion a little better. STB decided to showcase the malt instead of the hops, and did a brilliant job with it. Excellent beer. 7/21/15 Bottle 5 stars Discontinued 2015... :(

Little flat with low taste (Martin City)

Brewed with 3 hop varieties and 5 types of malts, this 8.1% ABV double rye ale possesses spicy rye flavors and a satisfying full-flavored mouthfeel.

Great dry but flavorful rye

Very easy drinking and smooth for the abv. Rye definitely present and helps balance the sweetness. Solid beer. Bottle, June 2014.

Nice rye ale. Citrusy finish not overbearing.

2-13-14 Graydon's

Deep amber in color with an off-white head and lasting lacing that climbs the glass. Orange peel, pine and spicy rye aromas along with malty sweet notes. Medium body with a spicy rye and bitter hop forward, followed by a crisp biting spicy finish. A tasty rye.

The nose was not very good and it took away from what was a great taste. Great tingling hops all throughout would have liked a floral or a sweet note
