Actually 3.75 out of 5 stars. Cloudy reddish amber in color with one finger of white head that quickly dissipates leaving a ring around the edge of the beer. Subtle aromas of sweet malt and bread, but quite faint. Some yeasty fruitiness too on the nose. Smooth and medium in body for a 9% Dopplebock. Starts off very sweet malts and yeasty fruity flavors followed by a dry hoppiness and slight bitter finish. Overall lighter than the abv suggests and a good sipping beer.

Smooth 9% dopplebock w/ medium body that is highlighted by hoppiness and slight bitter aftertaste.

This is perhaps the best doppelbock lager I have had. A real treat. Perfect balance and subtle hops flavor. Yum

Wow!!! Slight hippiness, slight breadlines, not your topical doublebock. Yummy, but I also am a big fan of brookland!!!
