Having a draft at McLaddens in Simsbury, CT. Even though I am biased towards Bourbon Barrel-aged ales this is an unbelievable, fantastic, amazing beer. Probably my favorite beer I have tasted to date. Boozy, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, dark fruit, smooth and oh so thick. Delicious does not describe it. This is Beer nirvana. One of only two five star ratings I have ever given.

It?s like having port wine. Can definitely taste the oak of the barrels.

This is the smoothest barely wine I've ever tasted. Notes of vanilla and cherry. So so good. Good luck finding it though!

Complex layers of fruit, coffee, and bourbon. Pure awesomeness!

Great potent dessert brew; slightly sweet; dark raisins; snifter sipping brew

S - Slightly boozy with warm barley scent coming through clear. Smell the caramel from the bourbon barrel where this beer aged
T - despite the scent, no booziness on the pallet. Delicious smooth taste with malts/barley coating the tongue at finish. Heavier beer but not too heavy. Great for the fall. Tastes of vanilla, caramel, and after taste of chocolate and coffee come through clear. Hot chocolate/coffee finish.
N - 1 cm head dissipates quickly, dark brown finish, warms the soul.
