On tap at the Mills River, NC location. Disappointing because the description tosses out the barley wine name and this is nothing like that. True to most Sierra Nevada offerings it has a hop forward profile that leaves anything barleywine forgotten.

Aged from 2012, opened June 2013. Great dark color. High carbonation. Started with ale smell and now a heat toasted Carmel and funky bread (cheese funk? But good. Great lacing. Nice hoppy ale. Over riding aroma continuous with smell. Great side tongue sweetness. Lingers for sure, nice hot alcohol but not too much. Very very good. Thick, creamy. Great lacing.
