I give this Awesome brew from an awesome brewery 4-1/2 stars. Only because of the nose. Smells a lil' weird, other than that this beer Rocks! (Popped a top)

Stone Limited Edition 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA. 8.7 Abu. This limited edition double IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops.(Ella, Galaxy, Fairview, Topaz & Vic Secret hops). This beer is kickass! Love the Aussie live in this beer! Pours golden in color with minimal white head slight haziness but thick lacing down the glass. Has a big very pine aroma with earthy undertones. Lighter in body this beer is very drinkable give the 9% abv. Has a resiny dank forward followed by a complex combination of Citrus fruit and pine. Dries out your taste buds as you drink it. You can taste the individual hops. Finishes with a slightly fruity but very dry hop finish. Has that dankness to it. Solid beer would definitely have again.

Nice try but a little weak on the hops. Early on a metallic/minerally taste that went away over time.

Good, strong IPA.

Love how they went a different route and brewed it with Australian hops. Can always count on Stone to try something new and bold. Turned out great as the taste matches the aromas perfectly. Way better than their 18th which lacked a conviction their special beers tend to have. If this is supposed to be a preview of their 20th then.....

Subtle crips balanced for stone

Stone Limited Edition 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA. 8.7 Abu. This limited edition double IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops.(Ella, Galaxy, Fairview, Topaz& Vic Secret hops). I don't know what the hell that means, but they are not a hop usually used in the IPA world. 1st pour leaves minimal lacing on the glass and is light golden with a little cloudiness. Overall it looks tasty. The aroma is one of pine and does not have a complexity that some IPAs have. You assume it's going to taste exactly like it smells, and surprise! It does. It hits the taste buds slightly pine and almost reminds me of a big pull on a bong at the finish. Hoppy & smoky, bitter & piney. No complexity at all, but delivering a solid punch to the balls regardless. Stone always brings us interesting IPA's. This one is interesting but I couldn't see drinking this on a regular basis. As an Anniversary beer, it's a must try, but it doesn't stand up to some of the better ipa's on the market.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow. Small white head. Delicious. Citrus, melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied. Rich mouthfeel. Crisp bitter finish that lingers on the palate. One of stones best offerings of late.

Pretty decent IPA. Nice amber color. Decent tropical fruit smell. Citrus and peach. Flavor is similar. Smooth sweetness. Nice beer.
