Charter Oak Brewing - December 10, 2012This American styled Brown Ale pours out a rich, dense brown shade with plenty of tan head. The 1687 Brown Ale enjoys a full nose and drinks as a well balanced Ale. As an American style, this brew is not too sweet ... not too bitter and advertises 5.5% ABV. This Brown Ale proved to be a highly refreshing beer illustrating a unique clean finish and a light mouth feel. A real winner and highly sessionable.
svoisine@live.com - September 2, 2012This is a decent brown ale. Great appearance, good color and good head. Has a good malty flavor, the first taste has a little bit of a watery mouth feel.
