Four years on and this beer is still fantastic. Ages extremely well, keeping all the good flavors in tact.

can't remember the tastes in this but wrote down that I wouldn't get it again

Yummy!!! Kinda wish I wouldn't have waited so long would have been a excellent Christmas beer! Beautiful dark robust color with a soft spiced ginger taste. A nice arrogant nose of spice and hops a delicious way to fill the pallet. Also convinces me to bake gingerbread men! CHEERS!

Super dark, like a stout. Strong Christmas-y scents of mulled spice, cinnamon and cloves. Spicy taste with nutmeg, clove cinnamon and subtle banana notes. Has some mild hops. Well balanced with a dry finish

Good for holiday time around Christmas. Lots of spice and nutmeg

Too complex to accurately describe every thing that's going on here. At first, there is a smoky porter thing happening, but then you realize it's too viscous to be a porter. Imperial porter comes to mind, but the spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove - make me think of fall and Oktoberfest, but the clove is reminiscent of a Hef, but its nothing anywhere near a Hef. Could it be a stout? No. The ale at the base is very similar to 11.11.11, but used better with the spices than it was with the chile. I will by another one of these and age it another year, just to see what happens.
