Fantastically bitter. Not an everyday beer, but every IPA lover should try it

Pours dark Amber. Sweet malty nose. Rich decadent mouthfeel. Sweet heavy maltiness. Pleasant bitter finish. Syrupy and delicious. Like maharaja but amped up a step. Quite excellent.

APPEARANCE - Opaque, cloudy, foamy, lots of lacing, sediment, amber 4FH that really lasts.
AROMA/SCENT - Hops, pine.
TASTE - Hops, bitter, nutty, pine, coffee.
MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Thick, smooth, very lingering, warming, very frothy.
VALUE - $9.60 for an 11-oz bottle. A bit pricey, even for an import.
OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - 1,000 IBU is an advertising gimmick, but this beer is worth a try. It is bitter, but that's mostly because it's not malty at all, just zero sweetness to it.

Hard to describe. It was a gift. Don't get me wrong loved it. Almost caused hallucinations

Not over the top like I thought it would be but anything over a 100 IBUs can you tell a difference. Finish was long lasting bitterness maybe that's were the 1000 comes into play?
