unc4jg@yahoo.com - July 24, 2015Our Wiseman Brown Porter has no tricks up its sleeve. Brewed with chocolate malts and dark caramel, we use Cascade hops to balance out the malty sweetness. The nose is of chocolate cordials, fruity, unorthodox, while the palate will bear-wallow amid coffee, dark chocolate, nutty caramel, concluding with a crisp, grassy finish. Some allege this beer was named after a local bluegrass star famed for wandering, others point to a tricky black bear, we confess the truth falls somewhere in-between.
