Off tap and from bottle. Currently my IPA of choice, and recently became available at my closest grocery store. I love this stuff! The hop level is on par with some Imperial IPAs. The nose is true to the taste, and the taste is a perfectly balanced blast of hops. The grapefruit and pine come through. Some report a fishy or oysterish taste, which is the extreme bitterness at finish. I can taste it, but my palate is able to distinguish. More things I love about this brew are 1) It tastes the same all the way through. 2) There is something about the bitter finish that leaves you ready for the next sip as soon as you are done with the one you're on 3) The easiness with which it goes down makes the buzz creep up quickly and unexpectedly. First had at Heroes with JD and JC.

up there with stone ruination ... grapefruit citrus aroma and taste with balanced malt background, just the way i like it. might just be a perfect IPA for me.

I love the trout on the label. Smooth easy drinker with plenty of balanced hops.

Very bitter. I believe the barrel is about spent.

Floral nose, 3/8 inch foamy head. Hops hit first, but not overpowering. Smooth mouthfeel, but finishes flat.

Pours a dark amber. Aroma is strong from west coast hops Citrus taste indicative of high ibu . Alcohol is well hidden in this one

Really good IPA! Great bite, hoppy smell and a perfect pairing with quality pizza!

Small tight head with good lacing; nice amber color with a small bit of haze. The earthy, mildly grassy, nose belies the wonderful hop flavor! First impression is strong floral hop flavor followed by grapefruit/citrus - great flavor! Bitterness is high but very pleasant and lingers nicely (causing a strong craving for another pint). While not exactly 'balanced' the malt character is present with a hint of sweetness in the background. Excellent IPA!
