without knowing the style, I'd have thought this was a porter.

The flavor starts with moderate chocolate/cocoa, light molasses, and a touch of caramel. The finish has light roasted malt with a touch of nuts. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, it’s decent, but a little too heavy on the chocolate and molasses side for my tastes.
