Great IPA! Best offering from this brewery. Nice bitterness combined with a sweet fruity taste

Pours a bright yellow-orange from the bottle to a thick, frothy, 2-finger head. Nice carbonation coming up the side (and center) of my DFH IPA glass. Head settles to a persistent one finger. Fairly good lacing. Smell: tropical fruits like passionfruit and lychee. Hints of grapefruit-like citrus. Taste: rather different from the smell. Mango and orange followed by a nice bready malt mouthfeel and a bitter semi-dry finish. Less bitter than I expected. Overall: if you're looking for a crushingly bitter IPA here, this might not be your pint of choice. The hop flavor is at the center stage here. I'm having this in winter but this would be much better suited as a summer release given the flavor.

In my opinion this is the best beer there is. I know, lofty statement and I don't make that claim easily. But it is quite simply the perfect beer (for my palate). Perfectly bitter and flavorful with piney hops in abundance. Love it. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Typically drink in the bottle and just had it on tap...absolutely awesome but still one of those rare beers that is just as good either way. Now to flying dog: please please please offer this beer outside of md/DC!

Totally unexpected delicious imperial IPA. Super clear pour with a modest head and medium mouthfeel. Citrus flavors (orange and grapefruit) are strong but not overpowering. Right balance of hops and citrus. Great aftertaste. One of my favorites!

This is not a great beer but it's as close as you can get. Rich, hoppy, and a mellow bitterness. The is a very good imperial ale

Good at first, but the grapefruit is a little overwhelming.

Very good, grapefruit imperial. Kind of heavy, so I could not drink many. Not overly hoppy. Had it on cask again and thought it tasted too much like an imperial.
