Mahogany hue with creamy head. Deceptively light for 9.2 ABV. Slightly smokey maltiness - not quite the intensity of flavor I expect in this type of brew.

Nice beige head with good retention and a smooth creamy lace. Aromas of bread and molasses. A taste of sweet figs that is well balanced with a decent dryness. Delicious fruity malt. One of my favorite abbey or Trappist beers. Very nice and ABV is well disguised by the smoothness and fruity flavor.
