bobbyhickory - February 20, 2015Heavy body. Lighter in color than I would expect for a doppelbock. I can smell a little bit of the chocolate but I don't taste it at all. Decent bitterness and good flavor overall but not remarkable for a doppelbock.
aaf145 - December 20, 2014Disappointed.. Been waiting all year for this beer.. Not getting any chocolate flavor, mediocre even as a Doppelbock alone...lacking that sweetness and maltiness that I look for in doppelbocks... 2.5 stars only cuz of the high abv..
