Pours pitch black, had to pour it from 2 feet to get any head, which dissipated quickly. Deep dark roast chocolate aroma. Sweet dark chocolate, some coffee, Belgian yeast gives it a unique tartness. I would like to see a barrel aged version of this. Good sipping beer. 12/6/15 Bottle

One of the smoothest stouts I've ever had. Delightful!

Coffee finish, slight bitter chocolate flavor, touch of brandy. This wasva cask beer so no head and no carbonation. Was served at room temperature.

3/13/2015 bottle king. Morris plains. Very good and smooth. Little sour aftertaste.

Sweet nose, however the sweetness doesn't seem to come out in the beer until it warms a bit. Slightly dry, and mild coffee after note, which is fine. Nice mouth feel, not really sticky which is great. Expecting a strong alcohol taste which you do get at the beginning, but of course, it lessens the more you drink. Dark and delectable. Warming.
